EMO adds a catamaran to its fleet

EMO supplies a CTV for the operational phase of offshore wind farm “Nordsee One” EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH (EMO) has signed a contract with Senvion GmbH from Hamburg to provide a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) during the operational phase of the offshore wind farm “Nordsee One.” EMO has therefore added a catamaran from the Strategic Marine shipyard from Singapore to its fleet, which was currently layed on its keel. As of April 2018, the new sister vessel of WINDEA FOUR will begin service from Norddeich for at least three years.

EMO lays the foundation for a second offshore base in Eemshaven

On 13 November 2017, the foundation for the second offshore service base of EMS Maritime Offshore BV (EMO) was laid in Eemshaven. In the future, the tenant Merkur Offshore GmbH will make use of the new facilities The general contractor for the construction work is the Dutch construction firm BV Kooi Bouwbedrijf from Appingedam / NL.

EMS Maritime Offshore installs Service Base for Merkur Offshore in Eemshaven

Ems Maritime Offshore B.V. („EMO BV“) was awarded with a contract with Merkur Offshore GmbH. The Dutch subsidiary of EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH signed a long-term contract for the construction of a warehouse with affiliated offices as well as the terminal logistics. The warehouse consists of an area of 600 m², while the modern offices have almost 500 m² which are spread over two floors. (...)

Rescue by Northern HeliCopter

Dramatical moments in the mud flat: Twice the team had to rescue vacationers from difficult situations. Due to a knee injury, one person wasn’t able to walk through the mud by herself and needed help to get back to the safe beach. The rescue team ordered a stretcher and had to pull the person to the beach 400 meters away. Just as this mission was over, another call came in: A middle-aged woman was stuck in the mud flat already for an hour, her husband and daughter were with her, but not able to help. This time, the beach was more than 500 meters away and the rescue team couldn't reach her because of the mud and the beginning flood. (...)

Northern HeliCopter Nets Wikinger Helicopter Deal

Emden, 5 October 2017 Emden-based Northern HeliCopter GmbH (NHC) has won a contract to serve Iberdrola with helicopter flights to the Wikinger project. Iberdrola, the world’s market leader in the field of production wind power and one of the most important energy supplies in the world, awarded a six year contract for flights to the Wikinger project. Wikinger will be the first offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea on NHC’s track record. Senvion relies on SSC Wind employees for the project Nordsee One

Wildeshausen, 17 July 2017 SSC Wind GmbH was awarded by Senvion with the installation of in total 54 wind turbines of type Senvion 6.2M126 for the project Nordsee One. In addition to the offshore installation, SSC also carries out the onshore pre-assembly of the rotor stars and towers and the preparation of the nacelles. Since beginning of this year SSC Wind GmbH (SSC Wind) is working for the Nordsee One (N1) project and has already successfully installed more than 30 of the 54 wind turbines together with Senvion. EMO takes over Marine Coordination for EnBW OWF Hohe See and Albatros

WINDEA's shareholder company EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH ("EMO") achieved the contract award for the marine coordination for the new EnBW project "Hohe See" and "Albatros". Until and including the commissioning of the wind farm a team of experienced nautical engineers will support the team of EnBW in the coordination centre in Hamburg. Beside of ensuring the safety and the smooth operations of maritime travel at the offshore site, EMO also coordinates the radio communication and provides emergency support.

EMO performs Marine Coordination for offshore wind farm “Arkona” in the Baltic Sea

Emden, 27 May 2017; Starting July 2017, EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH (“EMO”) from Emden will support the maritime coordination during the construction phase of the offshore wind farm "Arkona" in the Baltic Sea on behalf of E.ON for the joint venture of E.ON and Statoil. A team of experienced nautical engineers will complement the E.ON team at the Hamburg site until the planned commissioning of the wind farm is completed in 2019.
