After only six months under construction, the second Offshore Base for the Ems Maritime Offshore Ltd.(EMO) in Eemshaven has been completed. The building was officially handed over to EMO on 26 April 2018 by Deputy Director Geert-Jan Huiges from general contractor BV Bouwbedrijf Kooi Appingedam. Merkur Offshore has agreed a long-term contract with EMO to build and operate a service hub on its behalf. In future, the building will be used by GE Renewable Germany GmbH.
Scope includes port logistics services for 88 wind turbines needed for windfarm Hohe See and Albatros / components will be transported by barges to Orange Blue Terminal in 2018 / Buss Offshore Solutions supports as project manager(...)
From March 2018, EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH (EMO) will provide port facilities in Emden and logistics services to the wind turbine manufacturer MHI Vestas for the "Borkum Riffgrund 2" offshore wind farm. Emden-based Northern HeliCopter GmbH (NHC for short) has secured its first order for service in the Baltic Sea. In 2018, NHC will have a rescue helicopter with pilots and medical crew based in Güttin on the island of Rügen on 24/7 call throughout the year. The client is 50Hertz Transmission (50HzT) from Berlin, who had been looking for an interim solution until completion of its EU tender.
As of 1 January 2018, the offshore wind service company WINDEA Offshore acquires with Buss Offshore Solutions GmbH & Co. KG another shareholder. In the future, the already very extensive service portfolio for the construction and operation of offshore wind farms of the WINDEA Group will be supplemented by the terminals and logistics services of the Buss Group. The WINDEA shareholders Bernhard Schulte Offshore, EMS Maritime Offshore and SSC Wind EMEA, who founded WINDEA in May 2011 as a joint service platform for their offshore wind activities, recently reached an agreement with Buss Offshore Solutions on the details of the transaction and signed the relevant agreements.
EMO supplies a CTV for the operational phase of offshore wind farm “Nordsee One” EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH (EMO) has signed a contract with Senvion GmbH from Hamburg to provide a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) during the operational phase of the offshore wind farm “Nordsee One.” EMO has therefore added a catamaran from the Strategic Marine shipyard from Singapore to its fleet, which was currently layed on its keel. As of April 2018, the new sister vessel of WINDEA FOUR will begin service from Norddeich for at least three years.
